Lekki, habitat of the rich in Lagos State, Nigeria. Adjoining to peninsula, Victoria Island and Ikoyi districts is surrounded by Atlantic Ocean to its south, Lagos Lagoon to the north, and Lekki Lagoon to its east.
This
city is known for its gigantic structures where the Nigerian actors/actresses,
footballers, politicians, musicians, entertainers and economic bourgeoisies
have bought houses, built or rented choice apartments worth millions of Naira
However,
it is sadden to know that flood has been taking over the billionaire's city
as the recent heavy rain fall in Lagos has caused most of the streets in the
area to be heavily flooded, houses submerged and waterlogged.
The
natural tragedy which has bedeviled the highbrow area of Lekki in the past
three weeks has caused the rich to make the “Mainland Area” their abode which
is usually considered as the “Low Class Area" of coverage.
