Tears Flow As Ada Ameh Is Finally Laid To Rest

The remains of late legendary Nollywood actress Ada Ameh, who died two years after losing her only child, Aladi Godsgift, are slated to be laid to rest tonight, August 26.

His colleague, Charles Inojie, who played her on-screen spouse in the renowned Nigerian comedy TV series The Johnsons, released a video of Ameh in her casket, ready to be buried in her hometown.

He captioned his post: IT'S A WRAP FOR ADA AMEH. There's a piece of us there. Deadpan and ice-cold There is a shattered heritage.

Wrapped in a funeral casket. In that airtight wooden bed. Is our bare truth. Despite our differences, we nursed

You never know. How much of us is in them? There's another dire warning. A fee to everyone. Nothing is certain for tomorrow.

That we may live today as the best of days

Spreading love outside our comfortable boundaries. Until the twilights fade at an unforeseen hour. When the once sonorous symphony. Fades away indefinitely. On the morbid vistas. The curtain of life has fallen."

According to Ada Ameh's Obituary poster, a novelty match in her honour was held on August 19 at Nathaniel Idowu Pitch in Oregie, Lagos, as well as a candlelight parade at Teslim Balogun Stadium on the same day.

On Thursday, August 25, there was yet another candlelight ceremony at Saint Mary's Primary School in Ogobia, Benue State.

This was followed by a burial service and internment at her father's compound in Benue State's Otupko Local Government.

Her obituary ad has moved her family, fans, and colleagues to tears.

AdaAmeh passed away on July 17th. She was claimed to have been a guest of an oil company toyshop and his family when she collapsed.

She was taken to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation's hospital but died before they arrived.

Ameh, who played Anita in the 1996 film 'Domitilla,' is known for her comedic roles, particularly in the television series The Johnsons.

The popular actress, who was born on May 15, 1974, in Ajegunle, Lagos, had a daughter at the age of 14, who sadly died in 2020 following a failed surgery.
