Why I Wore Sneakers To NBA Conference' - Shettima

Kashim Shettima, the All Progressives Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate, claims he wore shoes to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) conference to "deliberately snub" the hostile crowd.

Shettima's attire for the occasion on Monday elicited a flood of comments on social media.

Shettima claimed in now-viral video footage that a specific presidential candidate held meetings to "plot mischief."

The APC presidential candidate's running mate, Bola Tinubu, did not elaborate on the alleged misbehaviour.

"I was in Lagos for the NBA conference." The NBA conference was held at the Eko Hotel. "It was substantially supported by the APC state government of Lagos state," the vice-presidential candidate stated.

"They then relocated to Eko Atlantic City, the result of a proposal created by Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu." When I deployed my recon team, one of the presidential candidates paid his agents. They convened for three nights to plot mischief. "When I was told it was a hostile audience... I'm a banker who was trained by one of the top bankers in the world. I'm a Jim Ovia fan. I purposely wore sneakers to mock them."
